Leucospermum cordifolium 'Flame Spike' (Nodding Pincushion) - One of the many varieties of L. cordifolium, this variety has salmon-red flowers. It grows to about 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide. Well-drained, acidic soil is best, along with full sun to ensure a bountiful bloom. It is hardy to about 25 degrees F.  The information on this page is based on research conducted in our nursery library and from online sources as well as from observations made of this plant as it grows in our nursery, in the nursery's garden and in other gardens that we have visited.
