Canna 'Herb's White' - Tuberous perennial. Full sun. Moderate water needs. White flower in summer-fall. Reaches 2 to 3 feet tall. Hardy to 0 degrees F. This Herb Kelly select seedling from Canna 'North Star' is a dwarf canna that grows to 2 to 3 feet tall and has flowers that emerge a pale yellow and age to white. A shorter plant than Canna 'New White'. We grew this plant from 1997 until 2004 when we replaced it with the taller cultivar 'New White'.
This information about Canna 'Herb's White' displayed on this web page is based on research we have conducted in our horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also will relate observations we have made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens visited, as well how our crops have performed in containers in the nursery field. Where appropriate, we will also incorporate comments that we receive from others and we welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant.
