San Marcos Growers 40th Anniversary 2019 Field Day

Field Day Picture
2010 San Marcos Growers Field Day

In 1978 Marcia and James Hodges began a search in the Santa Barbara area for a suitable site to locate a wholesale ornamental plant nursery. A location along San Marcos Road in the eastern Goleta Valley that had previously been a certified citrus and avocado nursery was deemed to be a perfect fit. This road was part of the original historic pass between Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley and fittingly, when the nursery opened for business in 1979, it was named San Marcos Growers. For a complete history see San Marcos Growers History.

In 2019 we invited our customers to help us celebrate our forty year anniversary of serving horticulture by joining us on October 4th, 2019 for nursery and garden tours, lunch, plant displays, discussion about our newest plants and networking with the many fellow horticulturally minded professionals in attendance. For infomation on our past Field Days, please see our Previous Field Days page.
