New Zealand Flax Field at San Marcos Growers |

The New Zealand Flax, (Phormium), field at the nursery had the largest collection of different cultivars of New Zealand Flax in the United States.
Most of the New Zealand Flax that San Marcos Growers sells originated from this field. Plants were dug and divided from this field several times a year and the foliage often sold to the floral markets. More recently our flax production has shifted to container grown stock and the field has been completely dug and is now used for other purposes. Learn more about New Zealand Flax on our Flax Page
