Alstroemeria 'Flame' (Red Peruvian Lily) - Perennial plant. A small selection of Alstroemeria that grows to 12 to 18 inches tall with rhizomes that spread slowly outward. It has red flowers that have yellow throat with brown speckles; flowers from late spring through fall. Plant in full to part sun. Can tolerate dry conditions but looks best with regular irrigation. Hardy to 15-20 degrees F. We grew this plant from 2003 through 2008.  This description is based on our research and observations made of this plant as it grows in our nursery, in the nursery garden and in other gardens that we have visited. We also try to incorporate comments received from others and appreciate getting feedback of any kind from those who have additional information about this plant, particularly if they disagree with what we have written or if they have additional cultural tips that would aid others in growing Alstroemeria 'Flame'.
