Cotoneaster salicifolius 'Repens' (Willowleaf Cotoneaster) - This low evergreen groundcover variety can grow to 1 foot tall (it will stay more prostrate if not crowded) and trails 8 feet. Arching branches are clothed in pointed leaves that have a hairy underside. White flowers in spring produce red berries in fall. Plant in full sun. Drought tolerant. A great dry shade under story groundcover but also very useful in full sun. It is hardy to <15 degrees F. We grew this plant from 1985 until 2007. Still think it a good plant but just can't grow everything.
