Coprosma 'Beatson's Gold' - A very nice evergreen shrub with delicate wiry stems clothed in small rounded gold and green leaves. It usually grows to about 4 feet tall, but it is reportedly capable to be trained into almost tree-like proportions given favorable conditions.
Protect from extreme cold <15. It is suitable for most soils with medium irrigation and takes full sun. Tolerates seaside planting.
Some list this as a hybrid between Coprosma acerosa and Coprosma repens but Lawrence Metcalf in "The Zealand Trees and Shrubs" speculates that it may be a Coprosma areolata hybrid. We grew this plant from 2001 until 2007.
