Vallisneria spiralis (Aquatic) (Tape Grass) - A popular aquarium plant because of its ability to oxygenate the water. The ribbon-like leaves with parallel veins can reach 3 feet long. The male and female flowers grow on separate plants. The male flower is released and floats to the female flowers which rise to the surface of the water to collect the floating pollen sacs.
