Arenga engleri (Formosa Sugarpalm) - This is a clumping palm with several short trunks that grow to 10 feet tall. The leaflets on the feather-like leaves are narrow at the base and grow gradually wider to the tip of the leaves. The leaflets with their silvery underside have several notches along the edges. Plant in full sun with regular watering. It can tolerate temperatures down to about 32 degrees. We sold this interesting palm at our nursery from 1993 unil 2007.
