  Deliveries

Regular deliveries are scheduled to nurseries and landscape jobs along the north/south coast from San Diego to southern Sonoma County. Please consult the chart on this page regarding shipping rates for your area. Drivers are instructed to deliver plant material only as far as they can safely drive the delivery truck and to place plants no further than 15 feet away from the truck.

There is no minimum for customer pick-up. Special arrangements for deliveries to more distant points are the responsibility of the customers. San Marcos Growers will loose load common courier trucks that have been scheduled by our customers but does not palletize or box material for pick up by parcel handling companies such as Fed-X or UPS. All phytosanitary certificate costs are charged to the customer.

San Marcos Growers will give an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for deliveries but they are, as implied, only estimates and we will not be held responsible for any costs incurred by receiver for orders that are not delivered at the time that has been estimated.

On deliveries where boxed trees or cement pots are to be delivered, on-site help will be required to help remove these items from the truck. Prices in this catalog for 36 inch boxes are F.O.B. - if delivered they are subject to an additional delivery fee surcharge. The delivery of 36 inch box trees will require that a fork lift or tractor be present at the delivery site.

Truck Size Limitations
We use tractor trailer rigs for most of our out of town deliveries. They are 13 ft tall by 45 ft long with 3 axles and they are heavy. Our drivers are instructed to use their best judgment about whether or not a delivery can be made. Please let us know if there are any potential difficulties for our delivery trucks at the delivery site.
