Iris PCH hybrid 'Purple & White' (Pacific Coast Hybrid Iris) - This Iris features a spring bloom of white flowers with falls with purple veins and a yellow spot at the base of each petal and standards of pure white. The clumps of tough evergreen foliage grow to 18 inches and spread to 2-3 feet. Plant in cool sun to light shade with occasional summer watering. As with other Pacific Coast Hybrid Iris, plant in light shade, morning or late afternoon shade and water sparingly. It is hardy below 15 degrees F. In heavy alkaline conditions that are often found in southern California soils the addition of peat moss or soil sulfur is recommended, and with very heavy soils gypsum is added.  This description is based on our research and our observations of this plant growing in containers at our nursery, in our own garden and in other gardens. We always appreciate receiving feedback of any kind from those who have any additional information about this plant, particularly if they disagree with what we have written or have additional cultural tips that would aid others growing Iris PCH hybrid 'Purple & White' .
