Helichrysum petiolare 'Limelight' (Limelight Licorice Plant) - A climbing scrambling shrub that spreads to 6 feet wide. The bright chartreuse to yellow colored foliage is covered with velvety down. Will grow to 1-2 feet tall and spreading to 4 to 6 feet wide unless given some support to climb higher. The foliage color and smaller size differentiates this selection from the species. Great for brightening up dark places. Best in light shade with regular to ocassional irrigation. Winner of the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit in 1992.
The description above is based on our research and observations of this plant growing in our nursery and in our own and other Santa Barbara gardens. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has additional information or disagrees with what we have written.
