Correa 'Ivory Bells' (White Australian Fuchsia) - This Australian native is an evergreen shrub with gray-green foliage that grows 5 feet tall with equal spread. Delicate ivory white bell-shaped flowers hang down in winter to spring. Best in cool sun or part shade with occasional summer watering. Seaside tolerant and is highly attractive to honey eating birds. It is hardy to about 20-25 degrees F. Correa...after Correa de Serra, a Portuguese botanist.
The description above is based on our research and observations of this plant growing in our nursery and in our own and other Santa Barbara gardens. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has additional information or disagrees with what we have written.
