Plumbago auriculata 'Imperial Blue' (Blue Cape Plumbago) - An upright climbing shrub that reaches 6-8 feet tall. Similar to the species which has light blue flowers except that 'Imperial Blue' has royal blue flowers that are in abundance from spring through fall. Tolerates seaside conditions. Plant in sun or part shade and water regularly.  The description above is based on our research and observations of this plant growing in our nursery and in our own and other Santa Barbara gardens.
