Eucalyptus polyanthemos (Silver Dollar Gum) - This is a fast growing, erect evergreen tree that grows to 40-60 feet tall and 30-45 feet wide, and has a very slender appearance. The gray green oval leaves are attached to the white stems by long leaf petioles which make the leaves dangle. Cream colored flower clusters appear in spring and summer. It needs well-drained soil. It is hardy to 14F.  This description is based on research and observations of this plant as it grows in our nursery, in our nursery garden and in other gardens that we visit. We also incorporate comments received and appreciate getting feedback of any kind from those who have any additional information about this plant, particularly if they disagree with what we have written or if they have additional cultural tips that would aid others in growing Eucalyptus polyanthemos.
