Erythrina speciosa 'Pink' (Pink Coral Tree) - This is a deciduous small tree or multi-stemmed shrub to about 16 feet tall. It has pink flowers in the later summer and fall. It prefers the full sun and has moderate watering needs. Blooms naked much like E. coralloides. Our plants from cuttings given to us by the San Diego Zoo. Has proven hardy to at least 28 F.
The description above is based on our research and observations of this plant growing in our nursery, in our own garden and in other gardens in the Santa Barbara area. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has additional information about this plant, even if they disagree with what we have written.
