A mostly evergreen large tree that only drops some of it's leaves at flowering time in the late winter to early spring. The flowers on this selection are a deep red and bloom on spikes at the ends of the branches. Grows erect to 30-40 + feet tall. Full sun, deep watering. Not as brittle as most coral trees. We have a very large specimen of this tree growing along the Hollister Avenue street frontage of our nursery.
